Warranty Policy
RGBsunset Productions provides a dead on arrival warranty. If your product is delivered damaged or inoperative it will be replaced on return. Customer is responsible for return shipping. RGBsunset Productions will cover replacement cost of shipping.
A one year warranty extends only to products supplied in an RGBsunset Productions housing and power supply, including artworks. RGBSPCHIP series, pre-made assemblies and kits are destined for hobbiest or user modifications which are out of our control, and warranty is not extended to RGBSPCHIP series, pre-made assemblies or kits.
Customers are responsible for determining whether any product is suitable for their needs. RGBsunset Productions cannot supply a refund or credit if the product is in working order. The Information section of this web site contains detailed manuals, hints and examples to help customers determine product suitability.
Copyright General
Copyright is retained by Philip Pulle of RGBsunset Productions with regards to this web site logo, name and artwork, electronic designs and PCB designs. This classification includes items published in the Information section. Personal use of these items is permitted and encouraged, however conditions will apply with regards to commercial use. See section below.
Copyright RGBSPCHIP Series Products
Copyright to firmware used in RGBSPCHIP series products and any product derived from these is retained by Philip Pulle. Any reproduction of these data are expressly prohibited except to paying licence holders under negotiated agreements.
RGBSPCHIP Series Usage
RGBsunset Productions electronic circuits can be modified by users and customers are encouraged to check the Information section often for examples on how to creatively use RGBsunset Productions Technology. Note: Warranty will be voided on fully housed products that have been modified.
RGBSPCHIP series products can be incoorporated into personal applications, however cannot be modified.
RGBSPCHIP series products have code protection set with on-chip fuses. Circumventing this code protection is prohibited in all cases. Unwanted RGBSPCHIP series products can be erased and then re-used by customers, however full price will be charged for a new RGBSPCHIP product. RGBsunset Productions will not program user supplied blank microcontrollers in any circumstance. Users should not use chip programming equipment with RGBSPCHIP series products unless they deliberately want to erase it in order to prevent accidental erasure. Customers are advised to not use RGBSPCHIP series products in circuit designs incoorporating an In-Circuit Programming capability. Refer to the Microchip Coorporation website http://www.microchip.com for information on this technology.
Commercial Use
Commercial use of RGBSPsunset Productions products is defined to be incoorporating RGBsunset Productions products or designs into the same, a new or modified product. Re-selling of RGBsunset Productions products is permitted if the original sale originated from RGBsunset Productions.
Commercial use of RGBSPCHIP series products is permitted only if the product has been purchased from RGBsunset Productions or a licenced re-seller or OEM manufacturer.
Commercial use of any items published in the Information Section of this website is permitted, with the condition that a notice in the documentation by made to the clear effect that portions of your product were by RGBsunset Productions and includes a reference to the website www.rgbsunset.com.
Commercial customers may incoorporate RGBsunset Productions products into their own products, design or installations as long as any RGBsunset Productions identification is not removed.
Written Agreements with OEM Customers
Reproduction of the firmware used in RGBSPCHIP Series products will be permitted only by written licence agreement and may only be done by files supplied by RGBsunset Productions for this purpose. A non-disclosure agreement will apply.
Customers with written agreements with RGBsunset Productions are defined in this notice to be OEM Customers. OEM customers are advised OEM firmware will have identification codes embedded in them for tracking and verification purposes.
Reproductions of any RGBsunset Productions PCB artworks, Artworks listed in the 'Artworks' section of this site, pre-made assemblies or kits for commercial purposes is forbidden unless a written agreement exists between RGBsunset Productions and the customer. Any OEM customer reproduction of RGBsunset Productions products will be permitted only by files supplied by RGBsunset Productions for this purpose. Customer specific identifiers will be incoorporated into these files.
Liability
RGBsunset Productions is not liable for any injury or damages caused by customer use of its products. Customers are advised that public display of dynamic lighting displays may be prohibited in some locals, or in certain circumstances, for example if the display is visible to motorists. Customers are responsible for using RGBsunset Productions products in a responsible manner that does not conflict with local and international laws.
